Welcome to TableTop Tales, a small, independent gaming space in Tempo, County Fermanagh.At the heart of the shop is a growing community brought together by Dungeons & Dragons, imagination and plenty of laughter.Whether you’re completely new, returning after years away or looking for a regular group, there could be a place for you at our table.
The community
More than a gameThe adventures might be imaginary, but the friendships, laughter and shared memories are very real.TableTop Tales is somewhere to enjoy a few hours of company, get creative and become part of an ongoing story. Every group brings its own personality, and no two sessions are quite the same.You don’t need to arrive with a group of friends, know the rules or feel confident performing in front of people. Come as you are, settle in at your own pace and join in without pressure to put on a voice or deliver a dramatic speech.Though, of course, dramatic speeches are always welcome.The friendships, conversations and sense of belonging that grow around the table are a big part of why TableTop Tales exists. I want this to be somewhere people can meet others, try something new and feel comfortable being themselves.That community spirit reaches beyond our adventures. Through creative activities, shared interests and connections with local groups, I’m continuing to build a space that brings people together.I’m also planning a community information board in the shop, with details of local services, wellbeing resources and organisations offering help and advice. Somewhere to discover what’s available across Fermanagh, whether you’re looking for support yourself or information for someone you care about.Community means looking out for one another. TableTop Tales aims to be a safe, welcoming space where people are treated with kindness and respect.If you feel threatened, unsafe or in danger nearby, you’re welcome to come into the shop during opening hours and ask for help. You don’t need to be a customer or a player. I’ll do what I can to help you contact someone you trust or the appropriate emergency service.

Hi, I’m JayI’m the person behind TableTop Tales and the Dungeon Master running the adventures.For me, the best part of D&D is seeing what people bring to the table: the unexpected ideas, the growing confidence and the moments everyone is still laughing about weeks later.My sessions mix story, roleplay and combat, with plenty of room for improvisation. Your decisions help shape the adventure, and I enjoy following those ideas wherever they lead.I’m also dyslexic, so I understand that a wall of rules or a character sheet can feel daunting. You don’t need to get everything right first time. Questions are welcome, and we’ll work through things together.I want TableTop Tales to be somewhere people feel welcome, included and excited to return to.

Never played Dungeons & Dragons?Imagine a story where you get to decide what your character does next.You might explore an abandoned mine, talk your way past a suspicious guard, help a village or accidentally turn a straightforward task into a three-hour discussion about a door.I describe the world and the people you meet. You decide what to try, and dice help determine what happens.It’s a mixture of storytelling, problem-solving, roleplay and combat, with everyone contributing to the adventure.You don’t need to learn everything beforehand. I’ll help you get started and explain things as we play.
A little help before your first adventureOur New Player Guide explains how sessions work, what to bring and the table guidelines that help everyone enjoy themselves.You’re welcome to read it before enquiring and if anything is unclear, just ask. You don’t need to memorise it!
Find Your Table
Our regular groups each have their own characters, ongoing adventures and particular brand of chaos.Some love gathering clues and exploring the story. Others are happiest when a questionable plan somehow works. All have room for learning, laughter and shared adventure.Places depend on current attendance. Get in touch and I’ll help you find a suitable group.

Whether you’re new to D&D or have played for years, our adult groups offer ongoing adventures, good company and plenty of laughter. Each table has its own personality, get in touch and I’ll help you find one that suits.
Younger Adventurers · Ages Under 18
D&D gives younger players opportunities to use their imagination, solve problems together and make decisions as a team, all while taking part in an adventure of their own.TableTop Tales has sessions for teens and younger adventurers, with guidance and explanations along the way.Parents and carers are welcome to get in touch about suitable age groups, current arrangements and availability. Please enquire before attending so we can discuss the right session for your child.

Once your session is confirmed, I’ll help with any character preparation. You don’t need to buy books, dice or a miniature to take part.4. Come along
Bring yourself, your curiosity and a willingness to give it a go. We’ll take the rules as they come.If you’re nervous or there’s something that would help you feel more comfortable, you’re welcome to mention it on the form or privately when we chat.
Prices and Practical Details
Regular D&D sessions
Adult 18+: £20 per person
14 - 17 : £20 per person
13s & Under: £18 per person
Family Concession rate: please ask for details.
Sessions are scheduled for approximately three hours.The materials you need to get started are provided, along with help learning the game and preparing your character.Sessions normally need at least four confirmed players to run. Your place and payment arrangements will be confirmed before attending.All sessions take place in person at TableTop Tales in Tempo. During D&D sessions, the shop closes to general browsing so the group can enjoy its adventure without interruptions.Birthday and private group arrangements are discussed separately.
Beyond the adventure
There’s more to TableTop Tales than what happens around the D&D table. It’s also a place to get creative, try something new and enjoy making things together.Wand workshops & potion makingBring a little magic into the real world with our wand workshops and potion-making activities. A chance to let your imagination loose and create something with your own personal touch.Resin dice makingExplore another side of the tabletop hobby with resin dice making. Because choosing your next set of dice is fun but helping create them adds something special.Get in touch about upcoming workshops, prices, suitable ages and booking arrangements.Your character, brought to lifePlayers can design their own character miniature using services such as Hero Forge, Eldritch Foundry or TitanCraft.Speak to me before buying a downloadable file so we can check that it’s suitable. The design service may charge for the file, but I offer players the resin printing and a coat of primer at no extra cost.I’m also building up supplies for painting miniatures together in the shop. It’s an optional extra you never need a miniature to play.Retro Gaming CornerTake a trip down memory lane or discover an old favourite for the first time. Our Retro Gaming Corner brings together a huge collection of games, with plenty to explore beyond the D&D table.Whether you’re revisiting childhood favourites or sharing them with a new generation, get in touch about what’s available, prices and booking a gaming session.Something for your next adventureBrowse a selection of gaming goodies, including dice and dice towers. Stock changes, so pop in during shop opening hours to see what’s available.
Celebrate with an Adventure
Looking for a birthday activity or an adventure with your own group?A private D&D session brings everyone into a shared story, with a mixture of exploration, roleplay, problem-solving and combat.Complete beginners are welcome. I’ll guide the group through the game, and we can use ready-made characters and paper sheets to keep getting started straightforward.Birthday adventures begin in much the same way as our regular campaigns, with the possibility of continuing the story if the group wants to return.Get in touch with the occasion, approximate ages, number of players and preferred dates so we can discuss what will work.
